Day 6

Late last night it started getting really windy and cold and during the night it started raining and got really foggy. Got a ride at 4:30 am from the same guy who brought me to Julian, along with two other hikers. Didn’t get much sleep that night either, but at least the weather was much nicer at the trail than in Julian. I only hiked 13 miles today and set up camp near a water cache. Water caches are water stashed away somewhere near the trail to help hikers along dry stretches. They’re generally not to be relied on in case they run dry from the many hikers of the PCT.
