APOD Viewer 2.7

Widget screenshot "APOD Viewer" is a widget for displaying the "Astronomy Picture of the Day" from NASA's web page. Each day a new image is presented along with a description by a professional astronomer.

In addition to showing the current image "APOD Viewer" also lets you see the accompanying explanation by simply clicking the image. Furthermore it can be used to browse the archives and can show a random image.

The widget has a simple and compact user interface. It is resizable to fit any screen size and provides you with easy keyboard shortcuts for easy interaction with the widget. The image shown in the screenshot is courtesy of NASA.

Version 2.7 adds better support for movies, corrects a preference bug, and includes numerous other minor improvements and bugfixes.

Binary Clock 0.6

Widget screenshot This widget shows the time using binary numbers. It is a rather special way of telling the time, that should look decorative on your dashboard. Instructions on how to read the clock is given on the backside of the widget.

Molar Mass 0.4

Widget screenshot This is a molar mass calculator that calculates the molar mass of a molecule based on the formula entered in the input field. "Molar mass" is a chemistry related term, that refers to the mass of one mole of a chemical compound. The calculator has an option to show the calculations.

Roman Clock 0.3

Widget screenshot A clock digital clock using roman numerals to display the time. It may not be that useful but it should look rather interesting and it could be an excuse for learning to read roman numerals.

Backwards 0.2

Widget screenshot This widget makes normal text go backwards. For instance 'Backwards' becomes 'sdrawkcaB'. You can use copy and paste to make words or whole sentences written backwards.

Whereas this might not seem very useful it can still be used to confuse your friends.

Dice 0.1

Widget screenshot This is a customizable dice which can be used to roll 2-32 sided dice. Unlike many other dice widgets currently available it does in fact work properly in the way you don't get the exact same results each time you start the widget.

Installation guidelines: Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you're using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you're using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget's icon in the Widget Bar to open it.
